Army of the Dead is an upcoming American zombie heist film directed by Zack Snyder and co-written by Snyder, Shay Hatten and Joby Harold. Developed as a standalone sequel to Dawn of the Dead (2004), it stars Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Ana de la Reguera, Garret Dillahunt, Raul Castillo, Omari Hardwick, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tig Notaro and Matthias Schweighöfer. The film's events follows a group of military mercenaries who plot a heist on a Las Vegas casino during a zombie outbreak.
